Fence Repair

The homeowners sold their house but the City of Calgary said they were in noncompliance because their fence was too close to the utility boxes. If you have utility boxes, the utility companies and City require any fencing to be at least 2-metres from the property line. The original fence was only about 5 to 10cm from the utility box and therefore had to moved before the sale is complete. The homeowners asked me to reuse as many fence boards as possible.

Deck Repair in Ramsay

We recently repaired a deck in the Ramsay neighbourhood of Calgary. It was a well-built deck and approximately 13-years old. The steps and a number of deck boards felt soft to walk on. After removing the suspect areas, we found significant rot in the support beams that led to the steps. While the steps were okay, they were no longer actually attached to the deck.
