The homeowners wanted to emulate the rather immaculate fence on the east side on their beautifully gardened backyards with steep grades.

The homeowners sold their house but the City of Calgary said they were in noncompliance because their fence was too close to the utility boxes. If you have utility boxes, the utility companies and City require any fencing to be at least 2-metres from the property line. The original fence was only about 5 to 10cm from the utility box and therefore had to moved before the sale is complete. The homeowners asked me to reuse as many fence boards as possible.
