As a social worker with work experience in shelters and social housing, with an undergrad specializing in nutrition, I was excited to work on this project for a local nonprofit and installed at a Calgary social housing site. The interior is made of cedar and the exterior utilizes pressure treated wood and Twinwall Polycarbonate sheeting. The box is insulated and galvanized fencer wire was added at the bottom to stop gophers from digging up the plants.
